New York Fed Legal Group Partners with CBJC on Community Efforts

Working with organizations such as the New York City Bar’s nonprofit affiliate, City Bar Justice Center (CBJC), The New York Fed Legal Group delivers pro bono legal services to people from low-income communities. This reflects the commitment of the New York Fed as an organization to community development and other forms of public service.

With CBJC support and assistance, volunteers with the Legal Group delivered pro bono services across 178 clients of the nonprofit in 2022. The CBJC Neighborhood Entrepreneur Law Project set legal volunteers to provide services that met the needs of moderate-income small business owners. The CBJC Consumer Bankruptcy Project put a team of volunteers together to assist those with bankruptcy-related legal and financial issues.
